A Real Wildlife Experience.

Although Apollo Bay Fishing Charters will always endeavour to have you catching as many big fish as possible, we understand it's not still about catching.

There is a fantastic array of life out to sea, and sometimes you just need to sit back and take it all in. We encourage all the family, or any non-fishers to come along for the ride, bring the camera or binoculars and take in Apollo Bay from a unique perspective.

We often encounter Dolphins, Gannets, Albatross, Penguins, Seals, Mutton Birds, Terns, Krill, Jellyfish and even Whales.

The appropriate life jackets will be supplied by Apollo Bay Fishing Charters. For passengers 10 years and older, a lifejacket only needs to be worn at times of 'Heightened Risk". What happens if my charter is cancelled?

In the case of unsafe weather, you will be notified as soon as the trip is cancelled and a change of time/date offered. If this doesn't suit then a full refund can be arranged.

Will I be guaranteed to catch a fish?

Unfortunately, we can't guarantee that every customer will catch a fish as these things are out of our control. What we can guarantee is that we will do our very best to try and put you on the fish and help in every way we can to assist you.

Will I get seasick?

On our charters, you will be fishing out on the open ocean. We have found that the motion of the ocean affects everyone differently. We have no control over who gets sick and who doesn't. We recommend taking precautions to reduce the chance of feeling ill. Try taking sea-sickness tablets, starting the night before your trip and avoiding any excessive alcohol intake.

Where do we meet?

Apollo Bay Fishing Charters leaves from the Apollo Bay Harbour which is located at: 1 Trafalgar Street, Apollo Bay Vic 3233.

Will you clean my fish?

We can teach and show you how to clean your fish. We will even clean them for you if we have the time (this is not always possible). Please bring a bag or container to carry your fish home. If you are confident in cleaning your own catch, there are filleting tables located at the boat ramp.

What happens if I miss the boat?

Please be ready to go ten minutes before the departure time. We can't wait around for late customers. If the charter is relying on you to fill minimum numbers, you'll forfeit your payment.
